MyID.is presentation for LeWeb08 Startup Competition
Despite all the critics, but that means it’s been successfull, we’ve been really happy of the amazing return we had from our presentation at LeWeb08 Startup presentation.
The room was packed and we’d like to thank all of your friends thats show love and interest for our digital ID certification project.
We were against 30 other companies, some of them where really improving, and we’re a bit sad that the winners where not anymore startups but success stories… And we have a special thought to Silentale that won the public award with a great and beautiful presentation, which was deserved.
The presentation criteria were a bit hard, but it’s part of the game for an entrepreneur to be able to summaries his project in a few words:
This is probably one of the most important parts of this email as it outlines precisely what’s expected of your presentation on stage at LeWeb 2008. Failure to address any of these areas sufficiently will impact your score.
With that, each company will be judged on the following:
- Physical presentation – if you use slides, you may show ONLY 5-7 slides. If you show more slides than 7 it will impact your score.
- A demo – all companies are told to show a demo. If you can’t (like product still in too early prototype) you must be prepared to explain why
- Business model – what is your business model?
- Market opportunity – does the business you propose have a viable market and how are you positioned well for it?
- The team – who’s on it and are they qualified?
- Presentation skills – This is the most subjective item as it relates to your general presentation abilities
Using these criteria the judges will rank the companies on a overall scale of 1 – 5
