Yes I know, I am a little late on my posts, but it’s rush hour in this moment and like one says in Blogosphère: “A blogger who does not post, is a blogger who has a true job”. ![]()
So a tiny review over the 3 days spent at Innovate ‘07 conference which was held in Zaragoza, organized by GuideWire, it is about the equivalent of the USDemo but in much smaller.
We started with an aperitif-networking Tuesday evening and as of the following day, we were at 8am in Teatro Principale which is more than 200 years old, with 30 others start-up selected to present our solutions as anInnovator.
Surrounding by 300 people present at this event, including a good tenth of VC and journalists, I found besides there a lot of known persons and curiously a good quantity of French.
Wednesday evening we were entitled to a very good dinner at the NH gran hotel, fortunately because I must admit to have been very disappointed by the quality of food in Zaragoza, that is not worth Barcelona or Madrid, then we finished the night in a very sympathetic bar.
As for the sessions, we had some big stars of the news technos in Europe, such as Dr. Hermann Hauser who produced the most sold processor within the world (the ARM), there was also Martin Varsasky who received later on a hundred Start-up in his farm of Menorca saturdays. I did went there because having a go-and-back flight for 3h on the spot seemed useless to me more especially as Loïc had podcasted most of the interventions.
In short, much of very interesting meetings, a lot of excellent contacts done for The Todeka Project and even an established partnerships done directly on the spot, but I would say more about that later on.
